摘要

In recent years, there have been numerous approaches performed in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Although shoulder dysfunction is a common consequence after multimodal breast cancer treatments, these treatment approaches may result in different clinical outcomes in terms of shoulder morbidity in patients with breast cancer. It is important to determine the rate of shoulder dysfunction in terms of morbidity, severity, time of onset, and risk factors associated with multimodal breast cancer treatments. Postural disorders of the upper trunk and shoulder girdle, limited range of motion, loss of strength, pain, and associated functional decrease of the shoulder complex and diminished quality of life are common problems following breast cancer treatment. Early diagnosis and treatment of these problems will prevent the progression of further functional disorders.
