LNG is one of green energy options which Canada and Korea are exploring for district heating. In this book, LNG case studies are divided into two chapters, namely, a collaborative research for LCA between Canada and Korea, and consumption-based GHG accounting at the community level. This chapter focuses on a conceptual life cycle thinking-based GHG accounting methodology and its application in Canada at the upper and midstream level and in Korea at the downstream level of LNG project activities. The chapter intend to demonstrate how to combine life cycle assessment and consumption/needs-based GHG accounting across an international border. The findings are used as platforms for the next chapter, a new digital carbon benchmark for buildings, to address emissions across an entire LNG value chain from production, shipment and consumption.

摘要
