Artificial Intelligence for Human Resource Management: Organizational Enlightenment or an Ethical Minefield?
摘要
There is considerable hype surrounding the transformative potential of AI across various HRM configurations and practices, as highlighted in previous chapters. AI can streamline routine administrative tasks through automation and algorithmic management, and enhance relational HRM throughout the employee life cycle. Its integration promises to augment HRM practices and functions by offering valuable insights into diversity attributes, employee emotions, and thoughts, thereby strengthening Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and contributing to organizational sustainability efforts. While these advancements suggest a path to organizational enlightenment, the fear perspective warns that such sophisticated tools can also introduce new concerns, risks, and challenges. This chapter explores why the use of AI in HRM can be viewed as an ethical - if not legal - minefield, examining the specific challenges it presents for both employees and organizations.
