The design process of spiroid gears is weakly unified and standardized. Great possibilities of choosing the parameters and obtaining various layout, operating and production properties of spiroid gears cause the fact that effective solutions can be obtained by actually scanning the parameter space and obtaining a lot of difficult-to-calculate evaluations for each gear. The only and natural way out of this situation is the development of a computer-aided system of gear design and research. The manuscript describes such a system SPDIAL+ for worm-type gears (worm, spiroid, QN-gears). The main stages of gear development are considered: design of the conjugate gearing, choice of parameters of the machine-tool setting for gearwheel hobbing, TCA (including the effect of errors), and LTCA. Some interesting results of the software application in innovative activity are considered: unusual varieties of gears, their peculiar properties in specific applications, effective ways of tooth machining.

摘要
