Evaluating Pre-attentive Perception of Visibility Graphs for Representing ECG Signals
摘要
Currently, cardiovascular diseases have become the leading cause of death. Early detection is crucial for improving survivability rates. This paper evaluates the pre-attentive perception of alternative graphs (Visibility Graph and Horizontal Visibility Graph) compared to the traditional ECG representation. To contrast these methods, an experiment was conducted where participants were asked to determine if two images with different cardiovascular conditions were the same or not. The results indicated that, in some cases, the alternative graphs had better rates of correctly distinguishing between the images.
