Vulnerability Analysis of IoT Devices (IP Cameras) in Ocaña Norte de Santander

The objective of this research is to identify and analyze IOT devices connected to the internet, case study IP cameras in the city of Ocaña Norte de Santander. For the development of the study and to avoid the violation of unauthorized IP cameras, a test laboratory was established in collaboration with the company Ctraker GPS specializes in the installation of such devices in the city. The research was divided into three phases: first, an exhaustive diagnosis of the situation of IP cameras in the region, using specialized search tools, allowing the characterization of each device according to technical aspects. Subsequently, an analysis of the security vulnerabilities identified in the IP cameras, considering their brands and versions, to understand the weak points of each device. Finally, recommendations were made to strengthen the security of IP cameras and reduce the risk to the privacy and security of individuals and organizations.
