The COVID-19 pandemic forced educationists all over the world to deploy an alternative medium for teaching and learning. This chapter, premised on the technological determinism theory, investigates undergraduates’ perception of the effectiveness of online teaching during the COVID-19 restrictions. From analysis of the responses to their questionnaire, the researchers found that online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic was fairly effective and adequate ground was covered in each of the various course outlines. However, challenges encountered from the learning end included erratic power and fluctuating internet supply and the prohibitive cost of data. The chapter concludes that online teaching was a welcome development and recommends its use as a complement to in-person teaching.
