Nigeria is the largest black nation in the world, but faces a number of socio-economic issues that negatively affect sustainable development, including poverty, food crisis, climate change, migration, education and health-related issues. The core learning objective of this chapter is to highlight the significance of media and communication systems for promoting sustainability in Nigeria and to recommend consideration of partnership, channel selection and message construction to achieve this objective.
