Invention and Innovation Organisations

In an ideal world, innovation would be a wholly optimised and systematised process, designed, resourced and managed to deliver precisely to all the current and future economic, social and environmental needs and priorities of a nation. In a less than ideal world however, there is a need to explore and define the roles, purpose and impact of the different organisations involved in the whole ecosystem of innovation and consider the changes that are needed to increase the effectiveness and value of each of their contributions, whether Learned Societies, Chartered Institutes, Universities, Start-ups, Contract Research Organisations, Consultancies as well as Companies, Not-for-profit organisation and Public Research Institutes.
