摘要
Scientific research represents a sophisticated means of knowledge production undertaken by professional knowledge producers. In this chapter, the types of scientific knowledge, the models and systems of production, historical precedents and the values, freedoms, rights and responsibilities of those involved in research are explored to determine how they relate to the delivery of, or an impediment to, innovation.
