摘要

When the local pressure in a liquid is lower than the saturated vapor pressure at that temperature or when external high energy enters, the fluid starts to vaporize and forms cavitation bubblesCavitation bubble, which is called the cavitation phenomenon (Brennen in Cavitation and bubble dynamics, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 2014). In engineering production, the cavitation phenomena are often accompanied by liquid flow and have a wide range of applications. In this chapter, the scientific significance and application value of cavitation and bubble dynamics in the fields of fluid machinery and fuel atomization are introduced. Next, the current status of research on the bubble oscillation dynamics and the bubble collapse dynamics near various boundaries is reviewed. Finally, the structure of this book is introduced.
