“Nostalgia cinema” is an umbrella term that is used to describe a whole range of various genres, like period dramas, historical epic, westerns, heritage film, and concepts, such as collage, pastiche, remake, or rerun. Such a wide range of different film phenomena “squeezed” under one label designates its instrumentalization within varying critical positions.
