Sustainable Possibilities in Art Education
摘要
This work presents a brief reflection on the role of art in education, sustainability, and the reuse of solid waste from consumer goods considered mere disposal, such as toilet paper rolls, old magazines, various bottle caps, milk cartons, various packaging, among others, transformed into artistic clothing. These materials identify the reading of new sustainable creative possibilities, so that they can be explored in their possible developments within the creation of clothing as an artistic manifestation. To this end, two case studies are shown, in which sustainable practices were experienced and corroborated to analyze the clothing construction process, aligned with the objectives outlined by the 2030 Agenda, to propose viable solutions and, in a way, outline sustainable artistic methods in a replicable way in different areas of formal and non-formal education. They are: “Vagalume o Verde” carnival block, and “Artistic Fashion” school workshop.
