Cancer Stem Cells and Tumor Microbiome

CancerMicrobiome is a major public health problem. Today, despite very important developments in the field of oncology, cancer is still not in the category of curative diseases. However, factors that play a role in complex carcinogenesis stages important steps are being taken in this direction. Recently obtained within the scope of the Human Microbiota Project. Data have shown that the types of commensal microorganisms that live on the epithelial surfaces of our body take an active role in this process and are also associated with individual responses to cancer treatment and toxicity. As a result, uncovering another major factor that plays a key role in cancer formation and treatment will reduce personal, social and economic losses due to cancer.
