Wage Sustainability in the Tourism Professions in Portugal from the Perspective of Future Professionals
摘要
In a global setting where the requirements for development equally address economic viability but also social sustainability, the healthy and efficient growth of fair salaries in tourism poses substantial challenges. It is a fact that job satisfaction can influence quality of life (at work and overall). This study focuses on specific conditions and constraints that influence the progress of the careers of young professionals in the tourism field for a maximum of two years and have a degree in tourism. The results emphasize that economic indicators like low wages negatively influence the number of professionals responsible to work in the hospitality world and change their lives.
