Business Sustainability: The Case of Ecuadorian Companies

Business sustainability is a topic of great relevance at a business and social level, given that objectives have been established worldwide that are focused on minimizing different impacts. In this sense, in Ecuador this reality is being considered important when establishing the purposes and goals of companies in different areas: social, environmental and economic. The objective of the study is to generally analyze the application of sustainability within companies, to comply with this, a descriptive analysis was carried out, in such a way that an overview of how business sustainability is being applied was shown. in the country. The first results reveal that there are very few economic sectors that are complying with environmental provisions and making investments to comply with them. In general, the country's situation in relation to business sustainability is in an incipient state, reflecting the lack of clear and applicable public policies for the reality that companies present.
