Artist Perspective: Steven Rhall shares documentation from his artwork Institutional Interface (2024), which presents a direct view of the working lives of First Nations arts and cultural workers. Rhall displays photographs of the desks of four fellow First Nations-identified arts workers, along with a continuous live stream of their workplaces. The work critically engages with issues of visibility, representation, cultural load and surveillance for First Nations arts and cultural workers.
