This chapter gives an overview of the methods used for the survey on which the study is based. This includes a description of how the survey was administered and distributed. We then provide context for interpreting the findings in the subsequent chapters by outlining the overall demographics of the survey respondents, defining some of the terminology employed in the book, as well as providing some information about us as authors, our positionalities and the contexts in which we are operating.
