The mechanical, piping, electrical, and safety systems and components of offshore access gangways that are used for lifting, slewing, luffing, telescoping, and landing (including lashing and securing) systems are subject to design review for compliance with the requirements of this chapter, and as applicable, the Class mandated MOU Rules and marine vessel classification rules.
