The study entitled “Incidence of the work environment on the performance of CNE employees in the General Secretariat area of the Quito headquarters” examines the connection between the work environment and the work performance of employees in that specific area. The results show a significant correlation between work environment and employee performance, highlighting a positive relationship between a favorable work environment and job quality, supported by a strong correlation coefficient. The finding is consistent with previous research, highlighting the importance of a positive and collaborative work environment to increase productivity and employee satisfaction. It also points to the need to improve the personnel selection process at the CNE, since inadequate selection can result in the hiring of unsuitable personnel, which has a negative impact on the quality of work and educational outcomes.
