Reading is an intentional activity, which allows knowing, learning and inquiring through questioning, from which criticisms and reflections emerge that permeate the construction and transformation of the subject. Students entering higher education present difficulties in reading, comprehension and critical analysis of academic texts. This article makes a diagnosis of the reading practices of students at the university, that is to say, it shows the results of an assessment of the attitudes, habits and strategies they assume. To achieve this purpose, a mixed methodology combining qualitative and quantitative methods was applied by means of linear regressions applied to each of the analyzed dimensions. It is concluded that measuring attitudes, habits and strategies allows the institution to reflect on the creation of a center of communicative reading practices.

摘要
