摘要

This literature review succinctly evaluates the integration of building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) within advanced cladding systems, focusing on their role in achieving climate-neutral buildings. It investigates the technological synergy between these systems, underscoring their potential in fostering sustainable architectural practices. The methodology involves a systematic review of literature from 2010 to 2024, sourced from Google Scholar, SpringerLink, and ScienceDirect. This structured approach enables a comprehensive assessment of the advancements and challenges in integrating cladding systems with photovoltaics. By methodically pairing articles on cladding materials and photovoltaic technology, we extract insights into their combined efficiency, aesthetic integration, and environmental sustainability. By doing a review of research this study highlights key technological aspects that make these integrated systems conducive to climate neutrality, particularly their capability to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. We anticipate that the findings will illuminate the benefits of this synergy, projecting enhanced performance and environmental advantages. Expected outcomes of this research will contribute to the evolving dialogue on sustainable building technologies. Our aim is to establish a clear understanding of how combining advanced cladding systems with photovoltaics paves the way for innovative, climate-positive building solutions. The results are intended to inform future research and practical applications, steering the architectural field towards climate-neutral objectives.
