摘要

The aim of the research is to experiment and test, in a specific Case Study, a new 3D system for standardize quarries graphic vector representation, ahead of their recovery and renaturation. Quarries have always represented a strong element of impact for the environment and a strong alteration of the territory, contributing to soil degradation and modification of landscape morphology. The strategy for their recovery and renaturation must necessarily consider their evolution over time. However, there isn’t a diachronic analysis of single quarries useful for their recovery, through reforestation and renaturation actions, or a standardized graphic representation of the evolution of single quarries over the years. This is the aim of the present research. This goal has been pursued through the integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data, which allows a careful study and a virtual analysis of the evolution of quarries over time, through the restitution of the actual state and the simulation of a virtual restoration of the slopes before the mining activity. To carry out quarry graphic vector representation, a basemap has been adopted and georefered through the specific ArcMap Esri® tools.
