摘要

This research aims to evaluate the reliability of reinforced concrete buildings designed in seismic zone considering the influence of confinement effects. 30 non-frequent natural ground motions are scaled based on site seismic hazard of L’Aquila (Italy) site, to simulate increased seismic intensities. Then, nonlinear incremental dynamic analyses (IDAs) are executed considering as engineering demand parameters the interstory drift indices. Subsequently, by adopting suitable limit state thresholds, seismic fragility curves are defined. Ultimately, seismic reliability curves are derived through the convolution integral between fragility and hazard curves and adopting a Poisson model. The research demonstrates that some issues of the current seismic design to guarantee enough safety for the near collapse limit state.
