摘要

Designing an interactive space using smart technology is an exciting and growing field. Smart technology encompasses a wide range of innovations. The rapid growth of energy use around the world and the concern for the shortage of resources has led developed countries to form building regulations, standards and rankings for low energy buildings. Iraq is one of those developing countries which faces a major problem with energy usage and lack of efficient resources. Iraq would greatly benefit from a set of guidelines or standards that regulate the energy use and environmental performance of buildings; however, currently there are no such regulatory tools implemented. Tahrir Square, also known as al-Tahrir Square, is a significant public space located in central Baghdad, Iraq. Recent Significance, In recent years, al-Tahrir Square has become a focal point for various protests and demonstrations in Baghdad and Iraq. Located approximately 500 m away. Design and Features, Al-Tahrir Square consists of open public spaces and is adjacent to the Ummah Garden behind it. The major bronze monument celebrates Iraqi history and the establishment of the republic. Symbolism and Liberation, Al-Tahrir Square’s transformation from a parking lot in the 1950s to the location of the Freedom Monument marked the Iraqi people’s journey of struggle and victory. It symbolizes liberation from British colonialism. In summary, al-Tahrir Square holds historical significance, serves as a gathering place for protests, and stands as a testament to Iraq’s past and present struggles for freedom and change.
