  • Ann Samari Ibrahim

摘要

The global adaptation of digital fabrication technology in the past few years, gives the possibilities to faster prototyping, testing, customization and personalization of products according to the personal needs. This new comprehensive process, changed representation mediums and affects the cognitive structure of interior design and design thinking. Digital fabrication is still in its infancy within the architecture field but adds up to the profound changes that call for a reinvention of the profession. The objective of the present paper is to show how digital fabrication can enhancing the spatial experience of inner spaces by using 2d and 3d stimulation program. According to the minimization movements, configuration of inner spaces and small furniture help to create a comfortable environment. Research suggests that digital fabrication enhanced accessibility to spaces, flexibility of spaces, and comparative between different prototypes. Results show that changes occurred over time in housing dimensions needs a new environments for reducing spaces. Spaces in buildings have become smaller and smaller, requiring more related studies in interior design to adapt furniture and smart equipment so that activities can be carried out effectively without sacrificing aesthetics and comfort values, adapting changes happened in spaces according to the user needs and life style.
