摘要

Microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology is an encourage ingsustainable technology, with enormous possible technology for wastewater handling. MFCs are strategies accomplished of producing electricity through the use of microbes as biocatalyst and electro-chemical responses. Current progresses in MFC technology have enhanced the output power. A varied collection of biological-rich wastewater can be processed with MFC. MFC technology is facing stand against about power density, biological exclusion frequency, electrode performance limitation, commercial feasibility, high principle and upkeep cost and difficulty to continue electron motion in an intricate wastewater setting. Prospects occur in MFCs scaling up, MFCs have the ability to increase the capacity of the sustainable wastewater treated unit. This chapter offers serious perceptions about the MFC progresses, uses of MFCs in wastewater handling. The difficulties during scaling-up challenges of MFC technology will be pointed out in this chapter.
