Culture-Led Regeneration Model for Built Heritage in Touristic Landscape
摘要
In the context of growing tourism pressures on the built environment, regeneration enhances the existing rather than its consumption. Focusing on small towns, the reuse, redevelopment, and maintenance influence the landscape protection and the appropriateness of the built/nature/community relationships. In these territories, fragility is even higher as slight changes in one point of the system can negatively affect itself. The research question is to orient processes towards models for the valorization of the built heritage and for the enhancement of cultural capital. This allows active forms of transition that are not in conflict with the conservation of identity features, which are one of the fundamental reasons for guiding tourist flows. This methodological approach returns labs as research-change intervention hybrids, aimed at the identification of criteria to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of this trajectory. The experiments in the Sorrento Peninsula are emblematic cases of the cultural and participatory regeneration model. Paper outcomes return virtuous experiences of cultural co-innovation, developed to mitigate this fragility of a touristic landscape system, where hospitality could be seen as an intangible value. The ExtrArtis© experience stands as a tool to reconnect with the intangible value of hospitality and the tangible value of qualitative and non-maximal tourism development, attentive to pre-existing cultural diversity. The applied model derived by ExtrArtis© involves contemporary artists as subjects capable of imagining a desirable future and enhanced tangible values, regenerating and transmitting them to the community in an inclusive and circular form.
