Introduction

This chapter introduces the concept of modesty defined by Albert Camus during his intellectual adventure and explains why it is an important key through which to reinterpret his philosophy and political thought. Finally, the chapter presents the structure of the book and provides some indications on the used criteria for translating Camus’ quotes from French inside the volume.
