Concluding Remarks and the Promise of the GLSD

This chapter offers concluding remarks and demonstrates that, the SDGs are far beyond being an ordinary UNGA resolution. The chapter adds that although the progress on most of the SDGs is not promising, the SDGs are not only about the content of the Global Goals. Rather, as the book illustrates, one of the most tangible achievements of the SDGs is the global actors’ recognition of the SDGs as global rules of sustainable development.
