摘要

New engagement strategies from the next generation of energy scholars are reshaping the boundaries of our energy sectors. This chapter outlines the ‘Toolkit to Achieve the Just Transition Using the Energy Justice Framework’, highlighting key aspects that will dominate energy justice discussions in the coming decades. Firstly, it addresses the complexities of energy poverty, focusing on defining and measuring energy vulnerability and improving access to technologies that mitigate financial and health impacts. Secondly, it emphasises the need to align technological advancements with societal needs, particularly for both emerging technologies and established ones such as nuclear and gas. Thirdly, it examines the responsibilities of policymakers and corporations, stressing the importance of their intrinsic motivations and the effectiveness of implemented measures. These ongoing and evolving concerns of a just transition will be central to future research and remain critical in the energy justice discourse.
