Compulsory Insurance and the Applicable Law

Compulsory insurance contract is present in probably all jurisdictions, nowadays having in many cases a cross-border character, namely when for example the risk covered and the seat of the insurer are placed in different countries. Despite the entry into force of the Rome I Regulation and its complex norms of law applicable to compulsory insurance contracts, there are still doubts as to the choice of law in this matter.
