Integration of Artificial Intelligence of Things and Blockchain Technologies for Enhanced Supply Chain Management

摘要

The implementation of 4.0 technologies represents a paradigm shift in supply chain management. Many companies and researchers are interested in new supply chain management technologies, such as the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. Their combined utility is optimized by merging AI capabilities with Internet of Things (AIoT) devices. AIoT has emerged as a catalyst for changing numerous industries, enhances operational efficiency, enables real-time monitoring, and fosters data-driven insights, revolutionizing traditional business models and paving the way for innovative solutions across diverse sectors. Yet their execution generates challenges due to difficulties such as security, privacy and centralized architecture. To surmount these challenges, the integration of Blockchain technology to the AIoT will contribute to data security and traceability towards decentralized and distributed ledger. The paper explores the transformative impact of these technologies on supply chain management (SCM), by proposing AIoT-BC hybrid approach, merging AIoT and blockchain into SCM components, envisioning a digitized and synchronized supply chain system.
