Bio-Inspired Algorithms in Robotics Systems: An Overview

摘要

The use of bio-inspired algorithms (BIAs) for robotics systems is progressively becoming a popular research topic. In this study, we review the recent literature and provide a general presentation of bio-inspired algorithms and their classification as swarm-based and evolutionary-based algorithms. In the literature, there are numerous optimization algorithms based on nature, it is not our goal to examine all methods. Instead, we choose the popular ones, including: Ant Colony Optimization, Bee-Inspired Algorithms, Fish swarm Algorithms, Grey-Wolf Optimizer, Genetic Algorithms, and Genetic programming, The potential use of these algorithms for robots and their application in the industry will be analyzed. Additionally, the most utilized algorithms in recent years will be presented. This review will open the way for future research to quickly and easily select the appropriate algorithms for robotics systems.
