A Survey on Image-Based Air Quality Estimation
摘要
Air pollution is a problem that affects everyone, regardless of a country's level of development. In fact, its sources are universal: vehicles, factories, homes, agriculture, landfills and even natural phenomena. There are few air quality monitoring stations in cities, making it difficult for people to know the exact level of air quality at a given time and place. Fortunately, a large number of surveillance cameras are deployed and images can be captured densely and conveniently. In this article, we provide an in depth literature review that highlights the main methods for estimating the air quality index using images. The article describes various techniques employed for this purpose, explores the datasets utilized in each method, and concludes with an evaluation of the results.
