Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) and Current National PNT Systems
摘要
This chapter will look at the U.S. NAVSTAR GPS system and its several current international equivalents. We begin with an in-depth look at the GPS system, and how it works. We cover the space, control, and ground segments, the precision and accuracy of the system, how the system actually works, and its current status and future developments. We then continue with a look at the Russian Glonass, Chinese Biedou, European Galileo, Indian Navic, and Japanese Quazi-Zenith systems. We present what is similar and what is different between these systems, their current status and future directions. Finally, we present current and future additional systems including ones from Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
