As the world of the Internet of Things (IoT) grows, the risk of cybersecurity attacks increases dramatically. Given the sensitivity of IoT applications, security is essential. Authentication is the first step in the process of secure communication between IoT devices. However, standard authentication measures do not meet the requirements of low-resource IoT devices, which is why lightweight authentication protocols are essential for IoT applications. In this article, we look at lightweight authentication protocols for IoT systems. We also found that the most popular validation tools for these protocols are AVISPA and the Real Or Random Oracle model. Finally, we provide an estimate of protocol speed based on the number of messages exchanged during the authentication process.

摘要
