Formosa

Formosa registered a total population of over 220,000 inhabitants, which represents more than 40% of the province, and an average density of 64.6 inhab/ha. In the last decade, urban expansion is the product of demographic growth. The gradual emergence of new settlements and the creation of neighborhoods have exceeded the old monocentric structure of the urban structure, with a relative continuous expansion toward the southwest and northwest directions, in connection with the primary access roads to the city. The QLI records of unfavorable values decrease from the center to the periphery—the border area shows the worst situation, and only the downtown area shows signs of a better quality of life. Only 38 census tracts register the highest QLI that goes from 7.67 to 9.84 points.
