摘要

Mar del Plata is an agglomeration of intermediate size due to its population. The landscape resources of the town give it a preferential productive profile in the tourism sector. It is a relatively young urban locality, but with intense dynamics depending on the political, economic, social, and cultural ups and downs of the country and its particular insertion in the world. The quality of life index is enclosed in the high level range for the city as a whole. The inner spatial disaggregation shows the differential distribution patterns of the synthetic indicator and each of the four dimensions that make up it. The source used is the National Census of Population, Households and Housing of Argentina of the year 2010. The presence of significant gaps is manifested, and the material and social distances embodied in the urban territory and the living spaces of the inhabitants are exhibited.
