Greater La Plata
摘要
The Greater La Plata is an urban agglomeration formed by the urban areas of the municipalities-department (municipios-partido) of La Plata, Ensenada, and Berisso. La Plata is also the capital of the province of Buenos Aires and together with Ensenada, Berisso, 37 other municipalities, and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) constitutes the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires. Greater La Plata has practically half of the area of study (430 census tracts) included within the best quartile, the one in which the scores vary from 7.67 to 9.84, corresponding to almost the totality of the localities of La Plata, City Bell, and Gonnet. For their part, 143 census tracts are in the second quartile, with medium-high values ranging from 7.03 to 7.66, the latter being located in those urban areas surrounding the aforementioned quartile tracts. Finally, where the individual variables already showed an unfavorable situation, with medium-low and/or low situations, there are 184 tracts in the first category and 232 in the second, being highlighted in these situations the localities of Villa Elisa, Ensenada, Berisso, and the rest of the peri-urban areas within the Greater La Plata.
