Prompt Engineering for Personalized Assessment and Formative Assessment in Technical Education

This work presents a template for using a prompt engineering process to develop a formative assessment plan for the simplified course of “Fundamentals of Computers and Information Technology”. The awareness and effectiveness of prompt engineering towards enhancing the formative assessment procedures in Technical Education (Higher Education) is the aim of this paper. By utilizing the virtues of prompt engineering and Complex Large Language Models faculty members can carefully craft prompts. With this support, any teacher or instructor can personalize the formative assessment procedure according to the learners’ class. The paper also discusses the flow and sample structure to understand the prompt engineering process.
