This study applies Wi-Fi Channel State Information (CSI) technology using ESP32 modules to detect intruders in horticulture areas. The ESP32-based horticulture field intruder detection system utilises the ESP32 microcontroller to gather Wi-Fi Channel State Information data, allowing for cost-effective detection of intruders without the need for further sensors. The system incorporates a Li-ion battery and a step-up voltage module in the transmitter and receiver components. The study utilises the Butterworth low-pass filter and median filter to pre-process CSI data, then employs the standard deviation technique to analyse the fluctuations in CSI data to determine the presence of humans. This system aims to offer effective human intrusion detection to prevent the theft of fruits or crops in horticultural areas.
