This chapter returns briefly to the account of humor in general. It offers a more finely grained description of the structure of humor’s reflective or transcendent distance from sense. Specifically, it focuses on the logic by which the same reflective distance which gives us access to unqualified truth can also coordinate this truth with others which it excludes and which exclude it in turn.
