Towards a general theory
摘要
Above, the logarithmic norm has been introduced for bounded linear operators. To keep the the concepts elementary, its properties have been laid down for matrices \( \textit{A} \epsilon \mathbb{C}^{\textit{d}\times d} \) , using a general vector norm and the associated operator norm. Relations to spectral properties have been established, and the use of differential inequalities has been emphasized for estimating solutions to initial value problems in linear ordinary differential equations.
