摘要

With biocompatibility, ability to resemble the extracellular matrixExtracellular matrix, and capability to encapsulate and distribute cells and medicines, hydrogelsHydrogels are employed in a variety of biomedical applicationsBiomedical applications. Traditional hydrogelsHydrogels, however, have certain drawbacks, particularly with regard to their physical characteristics, which restricts their wide range of applications. Researchers have recently looked on adding and enhancing the physical and biological characteristics of hydrogelsHydrogels by using nanoparticles (NPs). This succinct chapter concentrates, the studies on indole-3-acetic acid, citric acid, and ethylene glycol-based biopolymeric hydrogelsBiopolymeric hydrogels incorporated with silver and gold nanocomposites to enhance many biopolymeric hydrogelBiopolymeric hydrogels properties. These multipurpose hydrogelHydrogels nanocomposites offer increased potential for a range of biomedical applicationsBiomedical applications such as antioxidants, cytotoxic behaviors allowing for plenty of other applications like wound healing, tissue engineeringTissue engineering, bioprinting, and biowearable technology.
