摘要

2-Methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF) is a five-membered heterocyclic ether. It can be derived from furfural or levulinic acid biomass. 2-MeTHF is an alternative solvent for etherate solvents, such as Et2O and THF. It has been used in organic reactions, organometallic reactions and biocatalysis.
