Emotional Care: From the Sentiments of Eviction to the Feelings of Contention
摘要
This chapter explores the role of emotional care in transforming the immobilizing effects of shame, guilt, and fear into energizing emotions that sustain collective action. It examines how PAH employs rituals, assemblies, and interpersonal interactions to foster resilience and solidarity among its members. Emotional care is framed as a relational practice that enables individuals to process their vulnerabilities and connect their personal struggles with the collective goals of the movement. The chapter argues that addressing emotional needs is a prerequisite for empowerment and sustained participation.
