Leonardo Da Vinci and Mechanics in Renaissance
摘要
The Renaissance, one of the most studied periods in history, meant, above all, a transition from antiquity to the modern age. From a historical point of view, it is associated with changes, sometimes slow, sometimes ruptures with the ancient and medieval world and is located in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, having first appeared in Italy, in the Tuscany region, especially in the cities of Florence and Siena. Figures, who would become great engineers, architects, mathematicians, men of science, had special prominence and left an undying legacy for humanity. Among this group of exceptional people, linked to the arts or sciences, the category of engineers occupies a prominent position and among them all Leonardo da Vinci is undeniably the biggest star. Therefore, this Chapter is dedicated almost exclusively to him, as we understand that he symbolizes the Renaissance in its multiple facets and most representative characteristics.
