Congenital Nail Malalignment
摘要
Congenital nail malalignment is characterized by lateral deviation of the nail plate relative to the phalanx [1]. It may be inherited in some cases, and the etiology remains idiopathic. Pathophysiologically, there may be lateral rotation of the underlying nail matrix [2] due to inherited nail matrix or ligamental abnormalities, or external factors such as abnormal in utero fetal positioning.
