Ungual fibromas are benign connective tissue tumors and present as multiple slow-growing, oval, or elongated flesh-colored papules or nodules on the proximal nail fold, lateral nail fold, or nail bed [1, 2]. They are also known as periungual fibromas, subungual fibromas, or, in the context of tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), “Koenen tumors.” Ungual fibromas may be symptomatic and can result in distortion of the nail plate with or without associated pain [3]. On histology, ungual fibromas are highly vascular, nonencapsulated, mainly fibrous lesions that are made up of stellate-shaped fibroblasts, dense collagen, and blood vessels [4].
